Note: Unknown to the public, it’s been a wild ride for the past few weeks. Long story short is that University of Miami could not provide us it’s facilities on Friday and we had to move WordCamp to another venue. Instead of University of Miami, WordCamp Miami FOR FRIDAY ONLY will be held at:

PLEASE make a note of this. We don’t want anyone showing up on the University of Miami campus on Friday (although we are still using their facilities on Saturday Feb. 18th). Please also note that if you plan to park at the hotel, there may be a small parking or valet fee. We will post all information on our location page shortly.
So what’s in store for WordCamp Miami on Friday, February 17th?
Here’s the planned schedule:
8:00am – Registration
8:30am – Workshops start
1:00pm – Lunch
2:30pm – Session Track, Happiness Bar, Get Hired Bar
6:00pm – Closing Time
Friday is devoted to WordPress beginners, but all are invited. We are currently planning a full day. 8am to 5:30pm. The morning will be devoted to a workshop type of format. In the afternoon we will be having some hand-picked sessions especially designed for those to get up to speed on WordPress and to make the most of our main day on Saturday. Although we will have sessions for beginners on Saturday, Friday is really the day for newbies.
Knowledge Bar
For Friday we will be holding a Knowledge Bar with several WordPress pros on hand to try to answer any specific questions you might have on WordPress and try to answer any questions not covered in the workshops (there will be a lot of attendees present, so please make sure to give those at the bar some extra love and consideration! They’ll need it! ).
Get Hired Bar
For those interested in finding work or looking for WordPress or web-related talent, we will have a station especially for you. We are working on the details of this, so more information to come.
Food
No matter how hard you want to deny it, you can’t focus and learn on an empty stomach. We are seeing if we can provide lunch on Friday – otherwise we will allot enough time for people to visit one of the many local restaurants in the area.

Starting tomorrow (Jan 19th) cost for two-day tickets will be $30. But the point might be moot, since we are close to SELLING OUT FRIDAY. So you might want to grab your tickets now!
