A user experience is a holistic metric wherein all ships rise with the tide, but it’s not just that one bad feature cancels out a good – the ecosystem is complex: slow internet connections test your users’ patience as much as civic policy, or even that morning’s traffic, determines your market-fit from one day to the next. Service Design is about understanding how the sea rocks the boat. This talk is an intro that will make a case for thinking, organizing around, and designing services as good business strategy, and how the art of providing a good UX is the practice of good service design.
