This year we invite you to join us for some fun all throughout the camp by playing WPBingo on your own portable device. It’s a totally free experience that you can play from any web browser. Every bingo card is randomly generated so you’ll never see the same card twice. It even uses local browser storage so you don’t have to worry about a game breaking or resetting because you’ve lost connection to the internet!
Here’s how to play:
- Visit WPBingo.com from your mobile device
- Click or tap on each square as you see/hear what it describes
- When you get 5 squares in a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally) you’ll win a bingo
- Tweet a screenshot of your winning bingo card with the hashtags #WPBingo and #WCMIA
- Start a new game!
Play for fun all weekend long and play for prizes (see below) during the keynote event at the end of Saturday.
Finally, if you want to know how this fun and tiny web app was built, check out our session with Brian Richards on Saturday at 2:30pm in the Developer track.
Play bingo and win a prize!
On Saturday, following the main session schedule, we are hosting a Gameshow Hour and giving away prizes. You could win one of the prizes just by playing WPBingo during Matt Mullenweg’s Q&A keynote presentation!
Here’s how to enter the give-away:
- Visit WPBingo.com when the keynote Q&A begins and click on “Keynote Bingo” at the top of the page.
- Click or tap on each square as you see/hear what it describes.
- Tweet a screenshot of your winning bingo card with the hashtags #WPBingo and #WCMIA. (it will help us a ton if your twitter account includes your real name somewhere)
- Attend the Gameshow Hour event following the keynote to see if you won!
To be eligible for the give-away prize you must be present during the Gameshow hour and you must tweet the screenshot of your winning bingo card with the hashtags #WPBingo and #WCMIA. Only the special keynote bingo cards began after 4:30pm on Saturday will be eligible. Only a few winners will be awarded prizes.
